Arthur "D" DeCardenas

July 22, 1940 - February 2, 2012

Born July 22, 1940 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Arthur's family soon moved to Dallas where he graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School before serving in the US Army. He then served as a Dallas Police Officer for 11 years, a Dallas County Sheriff’s Detective for 13 years and a Reserve Kaufman County Sheriff’s Sergeant for 8 years. Arthur enjoyed travelling and the quiet outdoors.

Survivors include his beloved wife Marjie, brother Mark, sisters Julia and Dee, brother-in-law Benny, daughter Gayle & husband Eric, son Shayne & wife Cathy, son Kirk & wife Mary, son Kent & wife Mary Elizabeth, daughter Christi, and his dear grandchildren, Katherine, Marcus, Henry, Charlie, Audrey Anne, Houston.

Arthur was preceded in death by his sister, Penny, and son, Shawn.
